5 /5 Cyril Oberlander: Outstanding certificate and online degree programs and educational programs for all, workforce development, lifelong learning, degree completion, and learning for everyone. Degrees and Certificates include Leadership Studies Bachelors degree, faculty preparation online certificate, fundraising certificate, wine studies certificate, legal secretary certificate, online geospatial certificate, social work online MSW, and so many more online programs and courses. OLLI program includes many free brown bag events, and low cost amazing educational programs, classes in local history, trails, art, ballet, pickleball, tap dance, music, and more. Also Global Education, for study abroad and international students interested in Cal Poly Humboldt. Check out Open University, Over 60, and early college programming too.

They offer both online and in person courses, and with OLLI courses to take when you are 50 and better and Extended Ed courses to take as early as 5 years old, there truly is no limit to how you can continue to learn and grow through the College of Extended Education!

Great customer service, lots of online and in person classes, and FREE options too--check out the OLLI Brownbag talks! If youre interested in college credit, many of the programs also offer financial aid!

5 /5 Deserie Donae: They offer both in person and online courses. As an online student theres many opportunities and resources to advance your skills, career or self-development. Did you know you can even access the library online? This was incredibly helpful when I found this out. Theres a lot to choose from online such as Masters in Social Work, Leadership Studies, a degree completion program that helps you get your Bachelors, and a Fundraising certificate program. In person, theres cool classes such as Beekeeping, Studio School for Art, music workshops and even basic wildland firefighter training. This is also where Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is offered for the 50 or greater population. They have loads of fun interactive classes such as Eco Art, Pickleball, Local history, movement, spanish courses, and so much more. The aspect that I most love about Extended Ed is the community that you can find by taking courses!!

UC Quad - Arcata Cyril Oberlander: Beautiful quad, often a great place to meet, listen to music, listen to students talking about important issues, or just a fun place for a picnic. UC has several options for food, coffee, etc. While here, I often walk up the stairs to Founders Hall, then down along the Kinesiology building, along the fish hatchery, and back around up through the arts area. Fun walking around the campus.

Cal Poly Humboldt Academic Advising Center - Arcata Cyril Oberlander: Cal Poly Humboldt Advising Center helps students reach their academic and professional potential through individualized and culturally responsible advising services and resources. Support includes academic planning and success strategies, undeclared student resources, major and career exploration, and guidance for applying to graduate school. Advising empower students through close partnership with departments such as the Career Advising, Center for Community Based Learning, the Cultural Centers for Academic Excellence, Retention through Academic Mentoring Program, EOP, and the Learning Center. Very holistic and collaborative advising approach. Advising Center is located in the lower level of the library, the South Entrance is an easy way to walk in.

Cal Poly Humboldt Testing Center - Arcata

Social Justice, Equity & Inclusion Center - Arcata FM: As retired university staff and researcher, we like visiting higher ed campuses during road trips. We had allotted 20 minutes for a drive around at Cal Poly Humboldt. During a short walk around, my eyes were caught by a vibrant mural around a staircase in Balabanis House. We went in to take pictures of the mural and was greeted by a friendly staff who not only welcomed us but also shared with us the Centers mission and activities. It was obvious that Mr. Frank Herrera, the Centers Coordinator, was extremely dedicated to the Center and has an immense compassion and sense of calling to the causes and the students the Center serves. In this age of divisiveness, general morose, epidemic of depression, and a culture of hate, the existence of a Center for justice, equity, and inclusion is crucial for the mental and physical health of college students. I am so impressed by Mr. Herrera and his enthusiasm, I decided to write this to show my support for what the Center is doing.

California State University, Sacramento - Sacramento Sofii Soso: I am ready to talk to whoever’s responsible about this! I am being taught about ethics in this university, about $200 each student pays a semester only to waste 15-20 minutes looking for parking and if a parking is found and a miracle happened about 50% chance of accident because of how small the parking is! Please this is not just a complaint this is to attract your attention that a problem is here and should be resolved!

California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo Greg K: I came back to campus for a job fair and was surprised at all the new buildings. It looks great. I graduated in 1999 and it looks like a new campus with all the changes. It is a great school to go to and is in a beautiful setting. “Learn by Doing” is the school motto and it really helped with my education while there.
