5 /5 Tony Perez: When we were relocating to SLO we had a lot to figure out, but after meeting Mrs. Kylee and Mrs. Alex, the easiest decision was enrolling our daughter in Love to Learn. We toured many preschools—and while there are many terrific choices—Love to Learn is one of a kind. From day one we were overwhelmed by the warmth, detailed care, and commitment to education from everyone on the staff we encountered.
Our daughter’s teacher, Mr. David, radiates kindness, humor, and intelligence. My wife and I have been absolutely stunned by the leaps and bounds she has made in her education. My mother was a superintendent and my wife is a teacher, so I have been around many educators in my life and Mr. David is special. My wife teaches primary elementary school, and is constantly pointing out new skills that she sees our daughter use, that are already setting her on a path towards not only excelling in school, but loving it as well.
As if that isn’t enough, Mr. David’s counterpart is the equally bright and empathetic Mrs. Stacey. She emotionally connects with the students on a level that is a delight to see. Even if my daughter is having a tough morning, she rushes into the classroom for circle time when she sees Mrs. Stacey singing with the other kids. All of the staff have instilled a zest for learning that follows my daughter home as she is eager to practice writing, counting, etc.
Beyond the wonderful education, we’ve also gotten to experience the joy of seeing our daughter’s personality blossom as she develops friendships. When she began school, she was somewhat shy and isolated as a result of growing up during the pandemic. But, between birthday parties with her cohort, special school events like mobile zoos and pony visits, as well as Trunk-Or-Treat and other special events; Love to Learn has accelerated our daughter’s social-emotional growth.
My wife and I cannot express enough how incredibly thankful we both are to have found this school, as it has positively affected our daughter’s future—as well as ours. In our humble opinion, no parent should even think twice before enrolling their children.
