5 /5 Luke Mroch: While I am only in my second semester here at the Mount, never before in my life have I felt more passionate about what I am learning. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Science for Counseling Psychology, emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy. Never before have I felt more empowered learning about what I am truly interested in. The time I spend at Doheny campus is relaxing and people are friendly. The highly educated staff members in my major are so friendly and understanding of what it is like to be a graduate student. Especially since many of the staff members are former Mount graduates as well, as they return to build the program to the next level. I feel fortunate I am here at the Mount as it will lead me to become the best possible version of myself I can be.

The program is exceptional, with a comprehensive curriculum and highly knowledgeable, personable, and supportive professors who are deeply committed to student success. They not only provide expert guidance but also create a welcoming and collaborative learning environment. I especially appreciate that the professors are also practicing therapists that share their real world experience. The campus itself is meticulously maintained, offering a peaceful and inspiring atmosphere for students. The food options are both healthy and affordable, with daily vegan options. The application process was straightforward, and both the admissions and financial aid offices were incredibly helpful, personable, and quick to respond. They even go the extra mile to ensure all paperwork is submitted on time, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. Every member of the campus staff is friendly and approachable, contributing to an overall positive and welcoming experience. I couldnt be more pleased with my decision to attend this school—they truly make graduate school a seamless journey.

The LAPC management is great and the counselor, Ms. Mary she is very kind and her advises are always great. The professors are accommodating and approachable which makes it fun and easy to learn and makes you want to learn more. They are always eager to teach and share their knowledge and experiences in the field. To Miss B! I always enjoy talking to you, you always make the classes fun and interesting for us! We always learn something new and not just about the particular subject but in our surroundings too! Let’s help make the world a better place! Columbia College Hollywood - Los Angeles Enrico Cecchi: I’m now a sophomore directing emphasis and I got to be honest, the school is good. I’ve learned so much only in the first year it’s amazing. I really don’t understand some of these bad reviews but they may have had different experiences than me. Making it in the film industry isn’t about relying on people to do work for you and it isn’t about working by yourself. The school teaches that. Only reason I’m giving it a four is because of the current student atmosphere. It really doesn’t feel like a college campus more like a place where you get information and experience. I can’t explain it well. It just isn’t your typical college campus but for the tuition price compared to other schools and the knowledge learned, it’s worth attending.

Cal State LA DTLA - Los Angeles Anne G: Im an actual student, and CSULA has worked very well for me with a full-time job. Im happy I chose CSULAs accelerated DTLA campus. The professors are so supportive and wonderful. The classes Ive taken have expanded my knowledge. You get the same degree as you would receive at the traditional campus. Students who graduate are invited to the commencement ceremony at the traditional campus, so no, it is not a separate entity. It is an accelerated program that is still part of CSULA and parking is available adjacent to the building. I recommend the accelerated program if you are self-motivated and disciplined in your studies.

East Los Angeles College - Monterey Park Jose: Great school for transfers! ELAC has given me so many different opportunities. I have always been supported and guided by counselors and alumni alike. Given opportunities for internships, networking, federal work study, financial aid assistance, transfer talks, field trips with MESA, clubs, a safe environment, free food passes, a free shuttle, free tutoring, free merchandise, not to mention the low cost of tuition and other fees. Most of the professors here are really great. As of now I am attending UCLA to pursue my major in Linguistics and Computer Science. ELAC continues to strive for the best in helping ALL students succeed. I couldn’t have asked for much more. You receive so much assistance here and it only continues to grow.. but you do have to go and reach out for it. Stay engaged and you’ll reap the rewards. Best community college in the entire district. Go Huskies!
