SUNY Sullivan - Loch Sheldrake thomas savaglio: The Biology Professor is horrible at teaching despite her knowledge and does not seem to care much about her students. other than that the school is pretty nice. i commute but the dorms are a plus for some. SUNY Ulster - Stone Ridge Caitlyn Nicolosi: If I could give this school zero stars I would. I have had nothing but problems since Ive started here. I wasnt informed I was accepted, about courses being cancelled, what my major was, who my advisor was, or that they didnt have my major when I transferred in. I also was not informed of fees I had to pay or the deadline to pay them so instead of being informed and paying they unregistered me from the courses I was supposed to take. They drag their feet to let you know anything and when you try to get information you get nothing but attitude and rudeness. Two faculty members go well above and beyond what they had to in an attempt to help me but I wouldnt recommend this school to anyone. This college made me absolutely despise college and learning which is a first for me. Avoid this school at all costs. Keuka College - Keuka Park hawk messias: My daughter attended her 1st semester, after taking all of her grants and being turned down on every college loan application they promised me they would figure it out but after the 1st semester after taking all her grants she worked so hard for they ended up kicking her out and slapped a 5000 bill on her, so now has no college education, now in debt and now she has no grants. So thats how it works??? WELL, after doing the parent plus loan the only way my daughter can attend school Keuka College - Keuka Park hawk messias: My daughter attended her 1st semester, after taking all of her grants and being turned down on every college loan application they promised me they would figure it out but after the 1st semester after taking all her grants she worked so hard for they ended up kicking her out and slapped a 5000 bill on her, so now has no college education, now in debt and now she has no grants. Buildings are run down, parking lots are not kept up with. The programs are outdated and they try to squeeze every penny out of the students. Most of the professors in the fringe programs are adjuncts and not committed to the curriculum, making more of a gripe session about the course material than a lecture on the actual topics. I am appalled that this school is in the Suny network, it is the lowest quality education I have ever received. NYSCAS - New York Arthur Brook: This university is a great place for people who want a personal experience. Ive had so many professors take the time to make sure everyone understands the subject. A lot of the professor are down to earth with you and will make things work. I would really recommend this college especially to someone trying to finish their degree at a comfortable pace Long Island University at Riverhead - Riverhead Emily Jones: If you are completing a masters in education, you need to take two thesis classes; 1 to research and the other to write (it could be done in one class but LIU can make more money if they make you take 2). And even if youve already completed student teaching in your undergrad, you need to take 3 weeks off of work to complete a student teaching requirements at LIU - and you need to pay for that class out of pocket which is about $4,000 because its only offered during the summer. Suffolk County Community College - Eastern Campus - Riverhead james bellomo: Would not recommend doing their online classes. Professors do slim to none, just assigning work with no class, no lesson and decide they don’t want to respond to their email. Wait for them to open up classes on the campus full time, so you can get a proper education. Their online classes are not it.
