4 /5 Simony Christine M. (Chris): This is a review of the greenhouses on campus (they are numerous). In Summer 1996, I worked weekend hours at one of the greenhouses where genetically modified plants were grown. At the time, wasps were also used as a natural pest control. My responsibilities included checking greenhouse conditions and watering plants.
This work can be peaceful. The textures, colors, and growth habits of plant materials helped inform my designs in Landscape Architecture. It also helped me to think about microclimate.
