5 /5 Owen May: Class of 68 here. When the 1950s vintage campus had a brand new aura still. C.W. Post College, as it was called, was a feeling. The campus one of the most beautiful. It is now 6 decades ago for me but I cherish still the wonderful friends made there. Paul Simon said it well at the time: "Time it was and what a time it was. It was. A time of innocence. A time of confidences. Long ago it must be, I have a photograph. Preserve your memories. Theyre all thats left you."
5 /5 Mary Howard: I loved both my undergraduate and graduate experiences at Post. The campus is beautiful, its history iconic, the professors top notch and my classmates were always bright and engaging. I recommend it highly.
Borough of Manhattan Community College - New YorkAissatou Barry: Bmcc will always be one of my favorite college where I took my prerequisite for the nursing program and graduated as a liberal art major in 2024. and now I’m planning to transfer to a private college. Bmcc is a great a place to start because you have a lot opportunities such as financial aid, tap, scholarships and you don’t have worries about financial problems. They have extraordinary professors , who are willing to help and totters. All you need is to focus and study. I’m really thankful Alhamdulily and thanks to Bmcc for everything they have done for me. I highly recommend Bmcc to anyone who’s interested studying in a community college.
Hunter College - New YorkNate Hopkins: Hunter College is a vital source of education in the heart of the city. This institution does excellent work providing a high-quality education for an outstanding number of both graduates and undergraduates students every year. I am extremely grateful for the educational opportunities I experienced here.
Marymount Manhattan College - New YorkNatalie Rivera: PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE APPLYING TO THIS SCHOOL
I attended the biology program as a transfer student and it was the worst mistake of my life. Marymount Manhattan puts up this facade that their small class size sets them apart from any other college in the city. Let me be clear: this school has more downfalls than advantages. This school requires their students to take general education courses as a freshman and then again at junior and senior levels. I was a biology major taking dance, film and painting during my junior year. Just another ploy to make more money.
I was told by an advisor that I would have to graduate a year late to take one single class in spring semester that was only offered every other year. If a class is mandatory for graduation, it should be offered every year. The shortage of staff to teach classes sets an automatic disadvantage for students. How can they expect a student to return to one of the most expensive cities in the world to take one single class?
The adjunct faculty is laughable. I took a painting class and had to buy everything out of pocket. I do not come from money as most students at this school and was told by my professor that my brushes were "too cheap". The courses from this college are impossible to transfer as they are considered a joke at even community colleges.
As a freshman my friend failed her first biology exam. Normal, not everyone is able to adjust to a college style exam right away. She immediately went to see her professor about improving her grade and she was told to change her major and her aspirations to go into medicine over her first ever college exam. Is that pushing your students to be successful?
Maybe the BFA programs are better, but I have only heard negative aspects about them as well. The majority of my anatomy class was failing and nothing was done by the staff to improve lessons regardless of the countless complaints by students.
The graduation rate is laughable. The advisor and bursar offices are laughable. They are quick to take your money for a transcript but never send it out. There is so much more to say about this college but it cannot be done in a single review.
Please do your due diligence before committing to this school. Countless people can tell you the many other options in the city you can choose from.
Mercy University - Manhattan Campus - New YorkJohnny B.: A pretty good college with a wide range of programs. Has options for a mix of in-class and online classes, which allows for flexibility based on different personal circumstances and schedules.
The best advantage is that many of the bisiness teachers are or were executives in the private sector and they bring this real experience to the classroom.
The admin side could benefit from some fine tuning, but overall a very good experience, never had issues with payments, processing or graduation. Recommended and the Manhattan campus is very well located, both in terms of access and being near center town.
Guttman Community College - New YorkOleg: They played a cruel joke on me. At first they allowed me to study for 2 months, and then they kicked me out for an absurd reason. They made a serious professional mistake when accepting me for training. The admissions committee did not even bother to explain in detail the reason for my exclusion. They simply canceled my electronic pass. It was a strong psychological trauma.. I do not advise you to go to this college.
CUNY School of Professional Studies | CUNY SPS - New YorkLisa Sheridan: I needed to initiate a career pivot and returned to college to get my degree after a looong break. CUNY SPS helped me transition back to college, and I quickly felt at home. The flexibility of online classes suited my crazy working-single-mom schedule. I earned my degree and then went on to grad school! Thanks CUNY SPS!

The professors are knowledgeable and excel at teaching real-world scenarios, which allows students to apply what they learn directly to their careers.
