GCC Warsaw Campus Center - Warsaw Japhia Colandrea: I went here in early 2000s. I got super sick because my diabetes and couldnt make it to class. I was absent for a week and a half. When I went back, they said I couldnt continue because I missed classes, and I had to pay the almost $2000 to allow me to re-enroll. I was a foster child, and everything was already paid for, so I dont understand why they wanted $2000. Dont let them screw you over. They also had a physiology professor who would just sit at his desk and talk. He had no videos, no powerpoints, no type of engagement for students; he would just sit there and talk everyones ears off. Old school teaching doesnt work with this new generation. As an educator now, I make sure to have my classes engaging. Dont go to this campus. Make sure you are getting a good education since you are already paying for classes. The only thing I loved about this whole experience was my instructor Mrs. Trina with the nail tech program.. Albany tech materials needs to be up to par, schools usually be about their students but this one is mainly about the money. I had to talk with someone in the registrar office on why I didnt receive My official graduation email and they had no freaking idea as to why I didnt receive it. My GPA is a 4.0 and I was told by someone in the registrar office on grad fest that I was considered for honor grad and was redirected to go to the business office to pay for a honor sash and I did just that, I picked up my cap and gown and received my sash from MS. Hawkins. Fast forward to the day before graduation a former student who was in my summer classmate asked me why I didnt come to the honors day program well for 1 didnt receive not one email or call or nothing so I reaches out to the registrar office to speak with ms Hawkins on why I havent received an email about the honors day program, so I sent her an email and asked her about it, she responded that only students with degrees or diploma is eligible for honors. So when I responded back to her email she has not responded back to me and when I called to speak with the president no one will return my call. Pictures are included..
You say because I am in a certificate program I am ineligible for honors if thats the case why did you tell me I qualified and sent me to buy this sash I am wearing in my picture that I am including.
