Green River College - Auburn Maressa k: I am only giving this school 2 stars, considering I appreciate the professors and the knowledge they provide.
The only inclination I have against this school is the fact that I have had to bounce around back and forth with financial aid. First of all, they ended up submitting all of my payments to my bank account and then told me I needed to pay it back, which they submitted the funds to pay for classes. Now I was responsible for their mess up and owed the amount they gave me. Stating they ,"paid me too much."
I finally got that resolved, but to my own discretion, they would tell me they cant give me full funds for one class since I need to take at least 5 credits.
I work full time and go and balance school. Some people can take multiple classes, but I cant. Now they tell me I may not be funded at all.
If it wasnt for me doing all online and appreciating the professors, I wouldnt continue getting my education here. Do yourself a favor to those who plan to apply here, dont do it.
I am honestly tempted to transfer my credits back to Edmonds Community College, but since I live so far, it makes it hard. Highline College - Des Moines Samuel Ajiboye: Highline College is a fantastic campus. Im not a student here but I booked an exam at the exam center. The description to building 1 was straight forward and the instructions of parking was quite straightforward. The staff at the exam center was absolutely professional. Olympic College - Bremerton Emily Quinn: Financial Aid takes forever to work on your file, plan on waiting until the first full week of classes before receiving any overage money. The college uses Canvas for online classes which is fine but the classes online are overly complicated by needing to use multiple websites from third party vendors to do your assignments. Welcome center staff could be more helpful and knowledgeable about student issues and they never pick up the phone if you call them. Peninsula College - Port Angeles Shelby: I am shocked... I have scheduled several advising appointments and sent my collage transcripts many months ago, as well as my high school transcripts over a month ago. My appointments were scheduled well in advance, and they canceled one of my appointments without my knowing, and met with another student in the same time slot. For other appointments the advisor was late to the meeting and had no notes, record, or recollection of the last meeting, or the purpose of the current meeting. It was as if I have been starting at square one each time. Working with this schools admission has been the most difficult out of any schools I have worked with/talked to. In fact, I have not had issues with any other school.... Olympic College - Poulsbo John Conn: Great college. All my kids have gone here and my wife and I have taken classes here. They now offer 4 year degrees from Western.
