5 /5 Marina Gridley: Great! Great! Great experience! I actually went here when it was called Gainesville State College. I was at the Oconee campus because I wanted to transfer to UGA. To be quite honest, I value what I learned at Gainesville more than what I did at UGA. They are the most helpful school you will ever encounter. They are also very giving and will try their best to work with you and to create an environment in which you can bond with other students and can really learn from professors. Just because this is a smaller school dont think any less of it. I really learned how to write well from a wonderful English professor I had there; I also learned to love both Ecology and Government while there because of wonderful professors I had. In addition, I had wonderful hands-on experiences with the clubs I joined there, such as Habitat for Humanity. Dont be mistaken, I wasnt some overly involved student either. I was just a regular student who ended up in a great place.
