Illinois Valley Community College - Oglesby Matthew Brown: I do not know much about the actual college & all that it offers but I did attend a choir concert of my mother in-law at the Illinois Valley Community College Auditorium. The place was very clean, they had temperature check-ins when you walked in & the Auditorium was very pretty and the concert sounded great inside of it. Illinois Wesleyan University - Bloomington Carly Floyd: Proud Alum and staff member. Beautiful campus, excellent faculty and staff -- lots of opportunities and personal attention in a great college town. Small class sizes without feeling like a small school. Seems pricey up front, like all private schools, but very generous with scholarships and grants -- the people here really work to make it affordable for each family. Augustana College - Rock Island Kathy Dibadj: The staff care about the students and truly want them to meet their full potential. The swimmers on the swim team are the nicest, hardest working group of kids you can find. It is a great place to get a great education! Wheaton College - Wheaton Mark Groves: Fantastic, faith-centered, educational community, rooted in a Christian worldview and healthy liberal arts. The campus and sense of community are lovely. Great opportunities to explore the Chicagoland, and the world. Students are encouraged and challenged to grow, learn, expand their minds, enlarge their hearts, and serve Christ and His Kingdom. Blackburn College - Carlinville Donna Matt: My daughter attended Blackburn, played volleyball and ran cross country
The work program not only made college affordable but gave her a great resume.
She was General Manager her senior year 2012. She loved her entire college experience. Excellent school and professors are top notch. Definitely a great school. Illinois College - Jacksonville Jennifer Godlewski: Wonderful caring staff. They give personalized care for the individual and the college as a whole. There are many different opportunities that arent available to all at other universities. The biggest downside is the variety of food in the cafe. But meal plans are flexible for on-campus restaurants too and take-home boxes of food. Some dorms have a full kitchen so students can cook for themselves. There are lots of opportunities to interact and meet others. No regrets here on picking this school!
