4 /5 Kenneth Tangerois3 Maroc: I have had my eyes examined at SUNY College of Optometry half a dozen times and generally have had no problem with my contact lenses prescription and service. But realize that you are having your eye tests done by students who are supervised by doctors.
My most recent prescription for gas permeable contacts was not satisfactory and after trying my new lenses I immediately realized that I could not read a sign just 10 feet away. I had to telephone to make another appointment and the same doctor redid the tests, correcting his previous mistakes. This cost me money for the lenses I had already ordered, but fortunately I did not have to pay extra for the second visit. However, I will have to pay more for a second pair of lenses with the corrected prescription.
Overall, this is an acceptable place to have eyes examined. The service is friendly and thorough exams are done. Despite one bad exam, I would go again as it is cheaper to go here than other places in Manhattan.
