5 /5 Dave Belt: I am saddened to read the negative reviews posted here about Houghton College, as I dont think they reflect the reality our family has experienced. My son is in his third academic year there and our family wholeheartedly gives Houghton a five-star rating. The small class size is a real plus, in that the professors are able to give personal attention to each and every student. We have found the staff to be highly professional and supportive in all regards. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this college to anyone seeking a Christ-centered education for their children or for themselves.

4 /5 Wendy Emerson: We stayed at Houghton for a week of camp with our churchs Student Ministry. The staff was incredible there right down to the dorm cleaning staff, who would take the time to stop and have a meaningful conversation with you. Some of the food was incredible. The campus is beautiful, and just the right size. Both of my kids have talked about going there when they graduate.

5 /5 Jay: Houghton is such a great college! Im thinking about going there in the fall. Not only is the campus beautiful but the professors and admission counselors are very helpful and care about you. At this college you will not only be able to further in your career, but with your walk with Christ. I would recommend anyone to go to Houghton or at least, take a tour and visit.

Nassau Community College - Garden City Sheleeza Deen: Attended Halaal Guide Suhoor Fest March 8-9.2025 Ramadan Night Market, Bazaar, Food Trucks with varying dishes, and tents with sweets like baklava, bubble tea, chai, and the Muslim only light festival in the USA. Families and friends of all cultures participated. It was grouped, with long queues to purchase most things. We had a wonderful experience despite the freezing temperature.

New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine - Mineola J Wei: Make sure the clinic supervisor is overseeing treatment and herbs. Majority of school staff and students are Chinese. They speak Chinese in class and arent very welcoming. School is suitable for non-working students who do NOT have ANY other responsibilities besides school. This is because the material and schedule is not organized or scheduled properly. Teaching style leaves students stressed to pass exams and not lose their money, but it is not an enriching experience. Very little is learned. This approach only works for the school and teachers, not students and future patients.

New York Institute of Technology – Long Island Campus - Old Westbury Eliana Colina: I feel safer here than the Manhattan campus although the town is pretty boring. However the architecture program is amazing and my academics matter much more to me. Its true its hard to get people on the phone but if you are patient with them and you keep contact with your advisor you shouldnt have too many problems getting things resolved. Huge campus - you will definitely get some exercise.

SUNY Old Westbury - Old Westbury Cao James: It was raining heavily today. The schools large parking lot is almost always full every day, so I can only choose to park in a farther parking lot and then walk to the classroom. So I brought an umbrella with me, otherwise my clothes would get wet. When I was almost at the classroom, I chose to go to the bathroom to put my umbrella away, because I didnt want to dirty the classroom floor with my umbrella. Because of this, when I came to get my umbrella after class, it was taken away. To be precise, it felt like it was taken away by the cleaner. After all, no one would be so poor as to steal an umbrella. Then I went to the library, hoping that the staff there could help me. But they said that they didnt know or have any contact with the cleaners of the new academic building. I also expressed my understanding, and then I asked for the phone number of their cleaning department, and they said they didnt have any. This surprised me a little that the administrators of a school had no contact information or communication channels with each other. Although this umbrella is not worth much even if it is new, this experience made me realize that if you leave some valuables in the classroom or bathroom or somewhere in the school in the future, the school may not be able to find them for you. This experience made me very disappointed. From now on, I will bring my umbrella into the classroom no matter how dirty it is.

Hofstra University - Hempstead Natalia Hanson: Chocolate Expo is our annual tradition. The variety of vendors selling chocolate, cookies, cakes, alcohol, and accessories is always impressive. Most of them have tasting samples helping to decide what you will buy.

Stony Brook University - Stony Brook Sravana Sumanth Koneru: The campus is amazing.... mostly surrounded by nature and stuff and is peaceful. But sometimes it becomes "over peaceful" and becomes pretty boring if you do not have your own transport to go somewhere fun!!

Borough of Manhattan Community College - New York Aissatou Barry: Bmcc will always be one of my favorite college where I took my prerequisite for the nursing program and graduated as a liberal art major in 2024. and now I’m planning to transfer to a private college. Bmcc is a great a place to start because you have a lot opportunities such as financial aid, tap, scholarships and you don’t have worries about financial problems. They have extraordinary professors , who are willing to help and totters. All you need is to focus and study. I’m really thankful Alhamdulily and thanks to Bmcc for everything they have done for me. I highly recommend Bmcc to anyone who’s interested studying in a community college.
